The Walmart Yodel Kid… Where Is He Now??

Mason Ramsey Then and Now

It’s been nearly seven years since the video of an 11-years-young kid yodeling in Walmart took the world by storm. You couldn’t scroll through your feed without hearing a remix of his talented voice, or seeing a meme of his cowboy getup.

But who is the Walmart Yodel Kid?

Even before his viral internet fame, Mason Ramsey knew he wanted to perform, and perform big. At four years old he made his performance debut at the Kentucky Opry, and later went to sing with Josh Turner, Gene Watson, and Kenny Rogers.

Wanting to entertain others with his gift of performance, Ramsey often sang for the residents of “local” nursing homes; making a Walmart pitstop or two along the way.

One of those Walmart pitstops led to the viral video that kickstarted his music career, and subsequently got him a spot on The Ellen Show, a Coachella performance, a StageCoach performance with Florida Georgia Line, and an Old Town Road Remix

So where is Mason Ramsey now?

The seventeen-year-old is here, there, and everywhere; going on tour, performing on stage, and making music

Just last month Lana Del Rey brought him onstage at the sold out Fenway park crowd to perform his song “Blue Over You”.

If ever there was an artist who could bridge the generations of Country music, it’s Mason Ramsey. He appeals to the younger crowd with his internet fame, while his voice and musicality capture the essence of the 50s and 60s.

Mason Ramsey often jokes that all of his favorite artists have passed away, but he does a tremendous job of reviving them and bringing that old-soul country twang in his music.

Lucky for us, Mason Ramsey is bringing his talents to Gainesville, and he’s bringing Halle Kearns along for the ride.

The show is Saturday, September 28th at the Heartwood Soundstage. Grab your tickets today!

Blake Shelton x Post Malone on “Pour Me A Drink”

Some folks might not be in favor of the recent pop-going-country craze, but I'll certainly make room for Post Malone if he keeps cranking out good tunes.

His latest single, "Pour Me a Drink" features Blake Shelton, and Post Malone has already teased another single with Chris Stapleton.

Nashville’s own Bluebird Cafe welcomed Post Malone for an acoustic performance as he announced his upcoming country album, “F-1 Trillion”.

Post Malone continually expresses his gratitude for being welcomed into the Country space, sharing “thank you for letting me in, and I am so honored and proud to be here”.

(And if you like "Pour Me A Drink", you might like the Falls Into Place Tour opener Halle Kearns' single "Homemade Margaritas")

Soundtrack With A Twist…ers…

Twisters Artist Lineup Promo via @/twistersthealbum on Instagram

What do Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Lainey Wilson, and Jelly Roll have in common? Well yes they’re all great country artists, but they’re also featured artists on the Twisters Soundtrack.

Twisters, the “revival” film of the 1976 film Twister stars glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick), and Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People), and hits theaters July 19th.

We’ve gotten a glimpse at the film soundtrack with Luke Combs’ “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma”, featured in the official film trailer. Since then we’ve also gotten…

We’re looking forward to the film and remainder of the soundtrack. Our young country king Mason Ramsey is even on the album lineup!
